My first true love, Suzi

My first true love, Suzi. She had a shiny dark completion with breath taking features and curves in all the right places. Suzi was a 1980 Suzuki GS450L with a license plate that read just that, SUZI.

When I was just a kid, my Grandpa Johnny introduced me to Suzi and took me for my first motorcycle ride through Snow Canyon in southern Utah. I was hooked.

This picture is of Johnny and my Grandma Gwen on Suzi. My Grandma told me this picture was the only time she ever sat on the bike. :)

Before she passed, my Grandma convinced Johnny to sell Suzi to me. I was blessed with the opportunity to restore her beauty and take her to Johnny’s 90th birthday.

Grandpa Johnny and Grandma Gwen

If you choose to explore this blog, I’ll take you with me to some amazing places on two wheels. I’m starting this blog in May of 2026 as I prep for a ride from Utah to Ushuaia, Argentina. Many people have asked me to keep them in the loop on this ride and to send pictures, so this is my attempt to do just that.

I’m going to backtrack by posting from events over the last 30+ years. Even though the posts are backdated, feel free to comment or engage.

I love hearing your stories and sharing our love for exploring.

Even if you just ride vicariously through other people, please jump in.
